After not feeling good for almost two weeks, I realized on Monday that I had been living on aspirins all that time to deal with my cold and my headache so I decided I had to go to the doctors. And, of course, I should have done this much earlier because with the medicine he gave me I felt SO much better within a day. So I am finally starting to recuperate from the huge cold that I caught, just in time for Christmas.
Early Christmas gift
We ordered a teepee for the bichin´s Christmas present but when the package arrived I got so excited that I didn´t want to wait until Christmas to get it set-up. My excuse was too big to wrap but honestly, I just wanted to see it. So we have already been enjoying his Christmas present for a few days!
Time to wind down
Although I have still been working the whole week, you could really notice the upcoming holiday period. That meant less meetings and things being much calmer in general. It was great to have a relatively calm week to be able to balance things a bit and to get ready for the holidays. I am still working two days next week before going to the Netherlands for 10 days and I imagine these days will be even more quiet. Also from blogging I will be taking a break next week :).
I love a good notebook and despite all my notes and calendars digitally, I love to use a good, old, paper diary to plan my days. Every evening I try to make a plan for the next day through time blocking. So the end of the year also means that I actually have an excuse to go planner shopping and I found my new planner for 2017 (and how cute is that little bag it came in?).
I love reading the latest posts from fellow mom and lifestyle bloggers and link-ups are a great way to find new blogs. So I will be hosting a mom-life link-up every Friday on Working Mommy Abroad, I might come up with specific topics in the future but for now anything parenting / momlife related can be posted here!
Not many rules, just make sure to check out some of your fellow mom bloggers and spread the love! I will make sure to share your posts on my Twitter, Facebook and / or Pinterest channels.
How to link up:
- Please upload the Link-up button (save image + add link) or link back to this link-up in your blog post
- Post your link below
- See what other awesome mom bloggers are up to!
Merry Christmas to you and your families and I already look forward to read more of your work in 2017!
