We have never really been car lovers, as long as it drove and was comfortable we were happy. Whereas other people seemed to be obsessed with specific brands or the newest models, we have been happily driving second-hand cars of a variety of brands with the only requirement it had to be safe.
Well, maybe not the only requirement, personally I have an extra requirement that the car should be manageable and easy to park. Or in other words, a small car so I wouldn´t bump into pillars or walls in underground parking lots or into other cars when parking in a crowded city center.
So yes, our car is quite small but so far it has been just perfect for us (and my lack of parking skills). However, with a growing family, car size becomes a bit more than just being easy to park. Right now, we´re still good and probably even when the baby comes we will still be fine for a while with our small car, however, in the not-too-far-away-future the car will exactly be too small for a family of four (and all the crap you have to carry around with little kids). So, although we don´t plan to buy a new car right now, we have started to research a bit of what we want when the time is there to actually buy that bigger family car. Since we´re still not focused on a certain brand, we´re not visiting any specific car dealers yet but are doing our research online on cars.com to get a better feel of what we want when the time is there to buy that bigger car (and until we have that bigger car, I still have some months to practice my parking skills…).
