Last week in the Netherlands and last week before I finally have a week off…. seriously need it! Have been working all through summer and now that everybody in the office is coming back after 3 or 4 weeks of holidays, full of energy and super motivated to kick ass at work, I realized I am done and need a break as well. So I am counting down the days to go to the beach and disconnect completely. So this lovely laptop will stay in the suitcase as much as possible. This also means our weeks in the Netherlands have come to an end, can´t believe how fast these weeks have flown by! Beforehand I thought so many weeks here would be an eternity but it really all went by so fast.
This week has been a busy one, it started on Saturday when we had a 30s party in Dusseldorf so we went with a bunch of friends to Germany for dinner and drinks. Was great to catch-up with everyone and luckily I had a pregnant buddy because if you´re the only sober one, these nights can be pretty long ;). I was still exhausted the day after but hey, it was worth it. After brunch in Dusseldorf, we drove back home.
And we´re already passed 18 weeks, I have the feeling that the bump really popped out this week (although it might be due to the insane quantities i am eating, I don´t know) and the baby is moving a lot, such a special feeling! This week we have been watching a lot of hockey, since C was in Amsterdam with the Spanish team for the Eurocup. The little guy was so excited to see his dad that I was afraid he would jump on the field to run to him. The weather finally got a bit more summerish here so that´s great and he has been a lot outside (while I was working inside). L is obsessed with tractors (and basically everything that drives) so the only thing he wants to do is watch tractors in the fields or sit behind a wheel of a car, truck or whatever.
Another week flew by (seriously crazy how fast time is going!) and this bump update is from the Netherlands. On Monday I flew here with the bichin and C flew on Tuesday (but to Amsterdam with the Spanish national team). We will be here for the next weeks and I am currently working from home (so lucky i can do that with my job) while the little guy is enjoying time with family. It´s great to be home but the weather SUCKS. Like, give me a good reminder of why we moved to Spain kind of suck! So we kinda went down almost 20degrees and it´s grey and rainy…awesome! But the little men is enjoying being outside with his rain boots anyway and I am stuck behind my desk anyway so just hoping we can get some sunshine in the weekend.
It´s Friday again so time for a new bump update and update in general basically. It has been a busy week, with my last two office days in Madrid before we take off to the Netherlands for 4 weeks. I am just taking a few days holidays but will be working from there, this will give us some quality time with family & friends and C has the Eurocup in Amsterdam so that way we are all in the same country at least. And for the bichin some good Dutch immersion instead of only listening to his mom rambling in Dutch all the time. We´re flying on Monday and the fact that I need to pack for such a long time (and for all temperatures because the weather sucks in NL now but we will also have a week at the beach at the end of the trip).
