So I was planning to have this bump update up last Friday, but you know, life happened. So a little late, and almost ready for bump update 24weeks but here we go. This week it was back to normal life here, so between daycare, work, travel to Madrid and C´s insane schedule, it has been a tiring week honestly. The doc told me to take it a bit easy and to rest a lot, but seriously, does she really think that is possible with a 2yo around? Yeah, no.
I have started emptying the study so we can slowly start with a nursery. But slowly means, very slowly, so trying to get out a box a day or something. Last Friday we had another check-up and everything was fine, again the reminder to take it easy (which is obviously not my strongest point but hey, I will try) but the baby was doing great and moving like crazy.
How I am feeling
Apart from exhausted on a daily basis (and the 6am wake-up calls from L these days don´t really help) and some stomach pains, I am feeling quite good. The baby is moving A LOT, it stays such a special feeling but sometimes I don´t even know what to do with myself anymore from all the kicks ;). Apart from that, we´re in name debating land, we want something that works in Spanish and Dutch (and preferably also English) so that quickly leaves some options out. We´re narrowing it down but we´re not there yet for the first name.
This week has been all about the chocolate. Just give me ALL of it.
+7 kilos and counting. Between my last check-up and now it was a 5 kilo gain so I got a little scare, but they didn´t seem concerned (also it was almost 2 months and my bump really popped out since then).
I have started looking into what I want for the nursery and I think I found some awesome wallpaper that I would like to use for one wall. Since it´s quite a busy pattern, the rest of the nursery will probably be very calm with the white furniture and probably some small touches in the colors of the wallpapers. First, I was thinking a white/grey/pink color scheme but then I found this wallpaper on Etsy and I was sold. Seriously, flamingoes and pineapples? Way too cute. This week we did buy a wheel board for the stroller (aff link), although L wants to walk more and more and sit less in the stroller, we figured it makes sense to have a Plan B for when he is too tired or doesn´t want to walk so he can stand behind his little sister on the stroller.
