After we just had a check-up in the hospital, I figured it´s time to start logging my pregnancy through weekly bump updates here. I already feel that this pregnancy is flying by compared to the first one (probably because of chasing a toddler every day) and I am not really realizing what all is going on so I figured these weekly updates will also help me to keep track of this pregnancy and have something to look back at later.
We´re a little over 15weeks already so I am starting to show a little bit. Honestly, when I am sitting down it looks more like I ate way too many nachos with guacamole and gained a few kilo´s but standing up from the side it shows more. Today I had a check-up in the hospital and everything is fine. The blood work came back good and the echo looked good. The only thing they told me is to stop do any impact sports (basically everything apart from yoga, swimming or walking) because of the risks of premature labour I had during my previous pregnancy. Just a prevention thingy to make sure I take it easy I guess.
How I am feeling
I am feeling pretty good, can´t complain so far. There have been some days that sucked a bit (nauseous, very tired, stomach ache) but honestly, these are just separate days and the rest I am feeling good. Just very very tired, but I guess that is normal since this pregnancy it´s not just me and the couch, but also a hyperactive toddler that requires quite some chasing and these summer months his dad is traveling a lot.
This baby loves chocolate and mayonnaise…. Or so I tell myself, basically, I am just using the pregnancy as an excuse to stuff my face with it. Bring on all the french fries!
So far I have gained 2kilo´s.
We haven´t gotten much newborn stuff yet (who has the time anyway?), apart from some very cute Freshly Picked moccs (let´s face it, every baby needs a pair of FP) and a lot of onesies/socks that friends sent us after they heard the news (they look so tiny!). I guess once we know if it´s a boy or a girl, I can start doing some shopping and start thinking about the nursery.
